Pool safety and admission rules
Children under 8 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Adult-to-child ratios:
- Learner Pool: 1 adult : up to 3 children
- 20m Pool (up to 1.5m depth): 1 adult : up to 3 children
- 25m Pool and 20m Pool (1.5m–1.8m depth): 1 adult : 1 child (competent swimmer)
- Flotation devices (e.g. armbands) must be worn by weak or non-swimmers.
- Customers are advised not to swim if you have consumed a meal within the last hour, or have had an upset stomach.
- Follow lifeguard instructions at all times for your safety.
Appropriate swimwear
To keep everyone safe and comfortable, please wear suitable swimwear:
For male adults:
✔ Swimming trunks or shorts
✔ Knee length shorts including board shorts
✔ Lycra leggings (Including below knee)
✔ Short and long sleeve close-fitting swim tops
✔ Bikinis or tankinis
✔ One-piece swimsuits
✔ Swim dresses
✔ Short and long sleeve close-fitting tops
✔ Swimming trunks or shorts
✔ Swimming costumes
✔ Swim nappies* - must be worn by children not yet toilet trained (available to purchase at reception)
Inappropriate swimwear
❌ Underwear or garments with offensive slogans or pictures
❌ Denim or heavy fabrics (including cotton leggings)
❌ Loose clothing or baggy shorts
Swimwear not made from chlorine-resistant materials may be damaged. Management reserves the right to determine whether swimwear is appropriate.
Note: T shirts are not allowed to be worn when using the diving boards.
Tip: Weak or non-swimmers should wear close-fitting swimwear (e.g. trunks or full swimsuit) to aid learning.
Pool hygiene
- All swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
- Do not swim if suffering from diarrhea or illness.
- After diarrhea, wait 48 hours before swimming; after cryptosporidium, wait 14 days.
- Swim nappies* must be worn by toddlers and babies not yet toilet trained.
*It is also advised to wear a Happy Nappy™ on top of a swim nappy for extra protection.
