Active Hartlepool currently operate out of Mill House Leisure Centre, Headland Sports Centre, Brierton Sports Centre and Summerhill Country Park. With our new active wellbeing hub, Highlight, set to open in early 2026. It is an exciting time to be joining the Active Hartlepool team!
What is the job?
The General Attendant role is part of a dynamic team that have a passion for health, fitness, and wellbeing. You'll be an advocate for physical activity, proactively encouraging and supporting customers to live a healthy, active lifestyle.
You'll be responsible for supporting the full remit of the venue and encouraging children and young people to be more active. Overall, you will provide a high-quality service to customers that is safe, efficient, and enjoyable. No two days will be the same!

Through our in house training we will provide you with all the training and support you need to get you up to speed. All you need to be a success is:

Hartlepool Place Partnership is inviting expressions of Interest for a new Chairperson
Hartlepool Place Partnership has a shared passion and commitment to enable everyone in Hartlepool to lead a more active and healthy life, seeking to address physical inactivity and health inequalities through the development of a long-term, locally powered and collaborative community approach.
With development phase funding already secured from Sport England, Hartlepool Place Partnership is seeking to appoint an independent Chairperson to lead the evolution of the partnership and to chair the Place Expansion Advisory Group.
Focused on the genuine development of systems leadership and stakeholder engagement, the successful appointee will be instrumental in supporting the partnership to secure longer term funding, in strategically positioning the partnership locally and in developing and implementing a local, needs-led implementation plan.
We invite expressions of interest from existing Place Partnership Advisory Group members and from other suitable local individuals. Applicants cannot be an elected official. Applications are encouraged from those with prominent roles in the community in Hartlepool.

What is the job?
As a Gym Floor Instructor, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming, safe and motivating environment for all members. You’ll support customers on the gym floor, provide basic exercise guidance, deliver safe and effective gym inductions, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and help deliver an excellent fitness experience.You’ll be a positive presence in the facility, approachable, supportive, and committed to helping people get the most out of their time in the gym. As the role develops you will be expected to deliver fitness classes or personal training at least 25% of your 30 hour week.

Possess a minimum of NGB level 2 gym instruction
